The Art of Oyim Kudos
Artist’s Biography
Oyim Godfrey Inya (b. 1991, Afikpo, Ebonyi State, Nigeria) is a multidisciplinary artist, paint producer, and the originator of Kudilism—an art movement he defines as “throw and pick,” symbolizing the dynamic interplay between tradition, memory, and modern creativity. A graduate of the Federal Polytechnic Oko with a Postgraduate Diploma from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, he has built a practice that merges technique with philosophy, using oil, acrylic, and mixed media on canvas to explore identity, culture, and the evolving human experience.
His work has been showcased in both local and international exhibitions, including one solo exhibition that highlighted his distinct visual language. As an acrylic paint producer and mentor, he has nurtured many emerging artists, strengthening the artistic community in Nigeria and beyond. Deeply versatile, his artistic journey continues to bridge heritage with contemporary expression, positioning him as a unique voice within African and global art.
