Born in 1991 in Afikpo, Ebonyi State Nigeria.Oyim attended primary and secondary school in Afikpo where he was raised under his parental care.
His journey into art started when he was a year plus and according to his mother Mrs. Mgbodichinma Oyim; Oyim started creating while he was still crawling in the early 1992 as also witnessed by the then neighbors. In 2005, oyim has started drawing and painting people with any available Materials.
In his secondary school days at Government Secondary School Afikpo, Oyim has already been recognized as an inborn and self taught artist because of beautiful artworks he created. On several occasions, he has been seen punished in the classroom for drawing the teacher while class was going on. All these was the evidence that he was truly gifted. Oyim is a hard working young man right from childhood, and even his skill was evident in everything he does ranging from farming, building plan excavations to every other menial jobs.
In 2012, he was admitted to study fine and applied art at federal polytechnic oko Anambra State, Nigeria. Oyim graduated in 2018 as a painter and with overall best distinction in his session. In 2018, Oyim had several achievements such as: featuring on the Fidelity Bank PLC 2018 Calendar, discovering an art style called Kudilism (Throw and Pick) though yet unpublished. He has also trained many young artists formally and informally from his school days.
Oyim derived inspiration mostly from the rich cultural values of Africa, the happenings, but his major energy is on the historical cultural activities and folkloric stories. However, with sense of detailed and stylized interpretations of the subjects leaves you with the feelings and thoughts that he was part of everything inside and outside his art pieces. He is a consummate artist with over ten skills which includes: acrylic paint production, barbing, sculpture, furniture, painting, drawing, graphic designer, pottery, printing, textile, etc.
